THE ONLY "OTHER" TRIBUTE TO THE MONKEES IN THE WORLD !
For nearly forty years now, The Monkees have entertained us on television, in movies and on their incredibly successful records. For many Americans, The Monkees were the first real "rock band" that we all witnessed while growing up in the 1960s. This was largely due to their appearance every week in over 12 million American homes. Their songs continue to be played on classic rock and oldies stations from coast to coast today. In 1967 The Monkees records outsold The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined !!  Amazing !!!
Now your audience can experience the wacky comedy and classic music as Pleasant Valley Sunday takes them on a trip to the year 1966 bringing the  personalities of the four Monkees  to life once again while reproducing their comedy...the excitement..and of course, the music of The Monkees in a tribute show like no other.

NOT ONE LINK IS MISSING IN THIS SHOW !!!!
HERE'S WHY PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY IS THE BEST !
Pleasant Valley Sunday :
Magically recreates the actual T.V. show comedy along with the great music of The Monkees ! They even have the real laugh track, Mr. Babbit (Monkees rent-seeking landlord) as well as sound effects and props right from the real T.V. show..
Wow, what a re-creation !!

What are the audiences saying ?
Pleasant Valley Sunday isn't just a classic rock band performing 10 to 12 Monkee songs in costumes. We are dedicated  100% to the magic of The Monkees songs as well as the hit television show. We are the only  "true-to-form" tribute show creating that magical link so missing in other shows. We perform over 30 Monkees hits from the hit television show.
We are  all Monkees, nothin' but Monkees !

Detail ! Detail ! Detail ! We even have an actual 1966 classic cereal box, cool aid frost pitcher and much, more ! Simply  making the detail better than the others ! For that touch of class, we even  have beautiful professional show dancing go go girls and our show features 3 and 4 part harmonic vocals vocals in perfect tune to amaze audiences everywhere !!!!
NOW THAT'S A REAL MONKEES TRIBUTE SHOW !!!
P.V.S. performed with real Monkee Peter Tork, receiving a huge THUMBS UP !!!!
DONT MISS PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY WE'RE MAYBE COMMIN' TO YOUR TOWN

Pleasant Valley Sunday was awarded the honor of being selected to perform at the 2004 Monkees Convention (over the others) in Los Angeles, California. Only the top Monkee tribute show represents the nation in such a Monkee official gathering ! That's:
PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY

GLENN HENRY ENTERTAINMENT TRIBUTE BUYER'S GUIDE

It's hard enough these days to plan an event large or small. The entertainment can make or break your club, venue, concert series, fair or event. There are many tribute shows out thee with many various claims. How do you know they are true ? How do you know that show will deliver what  they  say they will ?  Some shows are unbelievably great and some are simply not so great. A great show can be fun, amaze audiences and make you a huge success !

How does one tell a good show from a bad show ? Here are my 5 helpful tips to insure a good show.

1. ASK THE BAND FOR A LIVE VIDEO, MP3 FILE OR DVD DEMO.
With today's technology and studio tricks. an average or below average band/show can go into the studio and come out sounding better than life.//This may not always be the case when they are performing live for your event.  LIVE IS HONEST ! If they can't cut it live on video for someone else, chances are  they will not be able to cut it live for you too ! With our shows WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY GET.

      2. BE SURE TO ASK THE BAND IF THEY WILL HAVE THE MEMBERS THAT ARE IN THE VIDEO.
Many shows (Particular Beatles tribute shows) use what we call a "revolving door" band member line up. They contract out with each player for that particular player/part often times never even meeting that player until minutes before the show. Good quality vocals require good quality vocal rehearsal with the same members repeatedly to deliver all of the vocal parts properly and in place. Many times these "members for hire" are not well rehearsed resulting in  compromised vocals and a compromise show. This is an embarrassment to all. All or our shows have a well rehearsed lineup with the same  well rehearsed members thus resulting in outstanding  vocal and instrumental performances for you.

3. BE VERY CAREFUL OF JUDGING A SHOW'S POPULARITY SOLELY BY THEIR WEB SITE SCHEDULE.
Yes unfortunately there are shows out there that actually fabricate , embellish and/or inaccurately post  fabricated performances on their web sites that either do not exist or are for another band in their line up. This is designed to lead the buyer to believe that the show is very "busy"  thus very popular  when in fact they actually are less popular then they portray. This of course is deceptive and far from honest and not fair to you the buyer. Verify the web site shows with the venue by giving a call to the venue. Verify the band on the web site is in fact the actual band that will be at that venue on the time and date specified.
Do you want to hire a band that is not honest with you ?

4. ASK TO SEE REFERENCES AND ANY PRESS REVIEWS THAT ARE CLAIMED.
We at Glenn Henry Entertainment Management carry copies of all of the above for our shows.

DETAILS MAKE FOR THE BEST BELIVABLE TRUBUTE PERFORMANCE !

Look for details. It's just got to be done 100% correct. If not, it is simply half baked !
There is no such thing as a tribute band that does a hand full of songs from the group for which they protray and then fills teh remainning sets with other artist material. This is not a true-to-form  tribute band by definition but rather a simple varity band. Your not hiring a varity band. Ask yourself do they have cheap wigs or  a quality professional  wig that gives the apperaance of real hair ? Do they reasonably resemble the original artists ? Are the costumes acurate (i.e. if a 60's show are they wearing real bell bottoms or just jeans, etc...) Do they wear the actual boots or shoes form the era? Are they perfroming the exact accents if it is a British show ? tAsk yourself, does the band just stand up there in costumes or do they actually  BECOME the artist that thay are portraying ? Are they moving about tin the same manner as the originals ?  Most important ..Do they sing in tune ? (you'd be surprised)eDemand the best !

Top notch tribute shows have studied for months (even years) and take the sound and look very seriously. This is what seperates the top shows from the cheezy ones. Pleasant Valley Sunday for example details their show so well that they have unbelievable vocal work, as well as recreating the Monkees T.V. show theatrical set right to the last detail. They have an actual 1966 Kool Aid frost pitcher, a 1966 real Kelloggs ceral box, a real 1966 red teliphone, 1960's furniture, a vintage alarm clock, vintage amplifiers. Again, far above and beyond the others in terms of acurate detail  and that's what makes it BETTER ! Other examples of this can be found in such tribute shows as Led Zepagain, Staying Alive or Sticky Fingers.

If you are paying for it,  you owe it to yourself to hire the best !
